I have been looking for 5.45 ammo for the last few hours and it seems that there are a number of places that are out of it. For example: www.ammoman.com www.sportsmansguide.com Is this a sign of future problems getting 5.45x39? Does anyone have a good place to get 5.45? I found a couple places(catalog.jgsales.com/, www.kyimports.com/ammo.htm), but it can't hurt to know a few more. |

it's nearing tax/inventory time. ALL supplies of ALL products will drop to the lowest levels of the year in a few weeks. no merchant will build his inventory unnecessarily. have you tried www.ammunitionstore.com ? bob custer always seems to keep 5.45 stocked for me. i'll let you dig in to my personal stash! |

Any idea what shipping is like from www.ammunitionstore.com? I don't want to have to send in all that photo I.D. crap and then find out that their shipping prices are too high. btw, I couldn't find 5.45 with the search, but using the specific item # I found some 5.45 at www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=96648 |

Here is a link to the sportsmansguide 5.45 that was $63 for 750 rounds. Its out of stock though. www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=97107 |
Isn't $22.84 a little on the high side? How did you find out what the shipping was; online or did they give you a quote over the phone? |
I sent them an email letting them know I wanted a case of 7.62 along with my address. Back came an email stating shipping would be $22.84. I know it sounds a little high to me also. Frick, we need to know where the deals are on ammo these days. |

I've been looking around a little trying to find some 5.45X39 for a coworker, but my usual haunts are out of stock. As for the Ammunition Store, I'm undecided as to whether they will get my business again or not. I called them a couple of months ago to purchase some 5.45 FMJ for the gentleman mentioned above. I had purchased from them before and had no problems. This time was different. The girl answering the phone said they were sold out of the FMJ, but had some HP. I said that he really wanted FMJ, but I would go ahead and take 1000 rounds of the HP instead and placed the order. My credit card was immediately billed. After one week of waiting (I'm only one state away), I called back to check the status. The girl then imformed me that she'd made a mistake and that the HP (the one I wanted in the first place) was the one in stock after all. Why she didn't go ahead and send me it I'll never know. I then told her to substitute it and send it. Another week goes by. I call back and am told that before she could pull me a case the day of the order, that all their 5.45 ammo went to a gunshow later that evening and that it all sold. How it could have been loaded up hours after I purchased it I do not know. She then informed me that my order would be placed on "backorder" status. I promptly cancelled my order and asked her to credit my charge card account, which she did. I ended up wasting two weeks waiting. Even though they had my contact info, not once did anyone ever try to contact me regarding the problems with my order. |

They're out of stock right now, but check out www.outdoormarksman.com. I just bought two cases from them (all they had at the moment). He hasn't been ordering a whole bunch of it, because it doesn't sell as well as other stuff. OMC is open Monday through Thursday, and are at shows nearly every Friday through Sunday. I'm sure if a lot more people start emailing wanting to buy 5.45x39, he'll start keeping more in stock. |
