Anyone have experience with the FSE fixed Krink style stock? Thinking about putting one on a AK74.

Anyone know of a supplier?

Here's one on my SAR2.

You can get them here: www.rpbusa.net/ak.html

The length is a little longer then the warsaw pact stocks, 1/2" I think. They shoulder well and are very light. My only objection is that they tend to get cold and as a result make for an uncomfortable cheek weld.

But I like it.

I saw and handled one at the gunshow recently.

They are a good deal.

A friend of mine has one on his SAR2 also, very nice. Fit+finish was excellent.

I like the FSE fake folders. No digi-cam or I'd post a toy. I think they're pretty comfortable. So much as to say as comfortable as any other pre-ban style stock you could choose unless you're too big for a standard Commie stock-set. Cheek weld is almost a generic novelty in these days of fixed shorty AR's, the rifle I have my FSE on doesn't currently have an optics rail so cheek weld is almost a moot point. For what I paid and end result I am thoroughly satisfied. (*note: got a Bulgarian pad on it as well YMMV.)

Quoted:
they are inexspensive, easy to install and imo a far better alternative to the romanian/east german and hungarian wire type faux folder stocks.

Agreed. And it does give the rifle a very distinctive look.

Can these stocks be modified to fold when the ban ends, or would you have to buy another stock?

No,these stocks are fixed but made to replicate the appearance of the side folding stock in the open position.

A great stock in my opinion.  A nice non-folding alternative, that looks good and feels good.

They are well made, and very sturdy. My only sugg.is that you loctite the metal screws that are supplied with the stock kit before you shoot your AK.

I've got one and its an excellent replica except for the sling swivel.

Instead of a simple loop like the real sidefolders have, there's a (IMHO) ugly and overcomplicated contraption from "Uncle Mike".

I threw it away and bent an old swivel from the spares box onto it.
