arrived Thursday courtesy of Troy at Inrange. Based on OOW receivers the 74 is a Bulgarian and the 47 was formerly a Polish underfolder. the finish on both weapons are awesome. I have to admit they are the best looking weapons I have now.

Pure sweet, now quickly remove the cruddy looking 40-rounder from that AK and replace it with something that looks good in a nice rifle like that!

How about a Polish mag?

Got any pics of the Polish mag? I wish they had some of those plastic mags for the 7.62 like they got for the 5.45, I love the look of those plastic mags!

Funny you should mention it.  Both metal and synthetic 7.62 mags from Poland can be had from:

Both are great mags.

Believe it or not when I was getting the parts together for the build the most diffeculty I had was trying to get stock sets. I liked K-Vars but they were out of stock. Global Trades/Arsenal sold what I think is hungarian for $59.95 cheaper than K-Var.

Not to beat a dead horse again but when I went to AIM's website the color of those synthetic mags are black I prefer the reddish looking ones like theo ones for the 74 but they are like hen's teeth, hard to find.....

Oh, I didn't think that's what you meant.  I too like the exotic look of the red/orange bakelite mags.

The Russian ones are expensive and range from $100-175.

The Chinese, which I think aren't as good looking, are usually like $50-80.

I thought up a plan in which one could carefully dremel the little ribs off of a Polish synthetic, sand it real nice, then spray it with a durable red/orange paint for a pretty nice looking Bakelite clone.

Haven't tried it yet though.

The black ones are still pretty sweet as is though.

Yea it is back up and they do look sweet. probaly would look better if the grain was in line with the floor tho. Isn't that called camoflage. Still see what ya can do with a little Americanization of a fairly reliable product. Makes ya not want to shoot'em but that is why we buy'em for.
