| Tom, I would say the C stands for Carbine, but in my mind the AK was always a Carbine. Maybe Compact? I see no visible difference other than the shortened barrel length. They might have had to open the gas hole a little to allow a little extra gas to compensate for the bullets shoret time in the barrel, but then again maybe not. |
Yep, me too !! I tried, really tried, to order any other color synthetic furniture for my SAR-2 but when the box came there it was - BLACK !! (Got to admit that I DO like the teak wood on the Mitchell .308 imports. Never seen one in person but the pics sure look fine.) |
And then Mike will try to sell it as new... Sir, is an AK supposed to be a smoothbore? Well son, whatya got yerself there is a super rare smoothbore that doesn't leave rifling marks on the bullet, so the enemy can't trace you! |

No need to bash wood! It's impossible to make sweeping statements about it. I think that Russian "plywood" laminate AK-74 stocks are more attractive then synthetic, but synthetic is better looking then most normal wood. So there. oh, yeah, and "C" and stand for "Commando" too. |
ahhhhhhh shuddup

cool this must be what my freind from arminia had back home. i remeber him saying i needed the ak-XXC model. that was his favorite. he also told me to buy a russian ak if i could another classic ak storie, but he found his ak in the ocean after a battle. he cleaned it and used it for the remainder of the war. i have no idea what war it was but he's more than willing to show anybody the bullets wounds in his stomach. thats a crazy place to live over there. |
