Has anyone ever heard of ITM Arms in Cleaveland Ohio? I have a chance to get an AK variant made by them. They call it a madel 99. Is this company still in business?  If not when were they in business? The ser# on this gut is below 2000.
TIA

ITM is otherwise known as Ohio Ordnance Works.
they are still in business. however, they do not build complete rifles, they just make the receiver. someone else used an ITM receiver, and a surplus parts kit to build the complete rifle.

A model 99 might be a Global Trades rifle. I don't know, but it's worth checking nto.

itm is still is business, but they no longer make the one and only model in their line.

while i suspect you have stumbled across a parts kit rifle that is built up on an itm/oow receiver, you may have found one of itm's first projects...a custom built ak clone from about 1998/1999.

i remember seeing those at the ogca show.

it was supposed to sell for...over $1000!!!!!

it was to feature a drop in/removable trigger pack, ala the dragunov svd. the receiver was custom and some of the ak parts appeared to be from mak-90 kits.

it was a truely unique design. somewhere around this mess, i have a pamphlet on it.

afaik, only a handful were made. i don't know why they didn't sell....perhaps the high asking price and really odd features?

if you have found one, you may have stumbled across the ultimate ak collectible.
