To the guys that were performing the test on the different 7.62x39mm.... Please continue I found your posts very interesting. I would also like to request a penetration test with some 1/4 steel plates or wood. I myself have done these test in the pasts on different size logs and plates of steel but no camera. I believe this type of information to be valueable to all who view it, kinda like an awakening to the raw power of the 7.62x39mm, I think allot of times people are really un- aware of the power of a 30 cal round.. I see allot of posts of people saying stuff like hiding behind a wall, tree, car door for cover, It would be good to show newbies just how powerful of a round they are dealing with.. and just what type of cover will be ineffective if you come up against these rounds.. Maybe some test of 7.62X39 vs. 5.45, .308, .223... Come on I know somebody out there has the time on their hands to put this together... |

We plan to finnish the accuracy / quality testing this week weather permitting. After that we will go on to a 5.45 test series. I was thinking about doing some tests along the lines you are asking. After we finnish the scheduled tests, I will see if RS39 will want to help in this as well. Either way, I am interested as well, and already have the stack of 1 inch thick pine boards and other media collected. I would be more than happy to do these tests over the summer. |
| We share your observations and interests. There is more than just dry intertia and group data at work. We have been trying to match schedules and weather to do the 2nd round of 7.62x39 accuracy tests, and start round 1 of the 5.45 tests. We hope to have the next reports in a week. |
