Okay guys, I suggest this place does like FALFILES and goes ahead and creates an "ALL SAI ALL THE TIME" forum and all past, present and future SAI posts go there. Eventually, after SAI IS NO MORE, the place can be renamed the Board of Inquiry or something.

Then this, I suggest that someone that has a LAWYER talk to his lawyer and ask about setting up a CLASS-ACTION SUIT against SAI.

Basically, that's where everybody that chips in for the legal fees gets to participate in SUING GARY GOO/DBA/SAI right out of existence, businesswise AND PRIVATEwise.

Somebody talk to a lawyer, ask if he will sue SAI on behalf of up to 80 people and how much money it will cost.

If there are enough of us it shouldn't cost us too much to DESTROY the intended defendant.
What we normally can't do on our own to just recover a few hundred dollars of property we CAN DO as a group. Of course as a group we will likely only get to share in the JUDGEMENT against GG/SAI and we may never actually receive anything back other than the satisfation of GETTING EVEN.
Getting even meaning GG/SAI has a lien against him forever or until he makes restitution to all the plaintiffs (us) in the case. In other words, GG will have permanently destroyed credit unless he pays US off whould we win the court case.

Even if we lose, the court case alone will most likely wipe him out.

And hey, he told me it was HIS BROTHER that is the lawyer. So you know what? He isn't related to any lawyers.

Hell, I'm in for a few hundred dollars. Anybody else?

gary is already kaput.

his business (oxymoron) is gone.
his 8x8 shed is collapsed (metaphor for ???).
his trailer will soon be repo'd.
his reputation is trashed.

i don't think there's any way, using any tactics, that more than a few folks are ever going to see a dime-on-the-dollar....lawsuit or no lawsuit.

my thoughts are that a class action suit would be a waste of time, money and energy.

what would be much more rewarding, imo, would be 20-50 disgruntled customers showing up on his porch (hmmm? does his trailer even have a porch?) and demanding the return of their property and funds.

he has a wife and kid(s). i'ld hate to see the wife and kids out in the cold because of his criminal business practices.

it's just conjecture on my part (county property tax records would tell the tale), but i would guess the land the trailer sits on, the bridal shop...hell, probably even the trailer, itself!...are in grandpap's name.

if gary took in an average of $250 for each of 250 projects, that would amount to $62,250 over 2 years (all figures speculative). i would wager a beer that that money is long gone.

I went through a nightmare similar to this mess over a beloved 1971 SS Chevelle. When retired from her daily driver status, the perfectly drivable/presentable $6500 ride was deemed worthy of a make-over...

I hired "the best", gave him a nice chunk of my hard earned money almost every week...(for awhile anyway) Weeks turned into months and months turned into years.

"Mr. Egomaniac" was a good con artist. (the best I'd ever met). By the time I'd chosen to take legal action he was already filing bankruptcy papers. My legal threats turned into physical threats from him (this ass-clown made the mistake of trying that on my property. Apparently he wasn't aware of my other "macho" hobby...I "explained" that to him)

Truth be told, I was simply relieved to get my beloved Super Sport back in boxes... (and yes, there were missing parts and no return of any funds)

In short, I just hope you guys get your possessions back soon. I was so soured by my experience that I sold my boxes of headaches.(did buy a .223 AK though)

I still admire a slick muscle car, but have no desire to own another.

Best wishes to all of you whatever you pursue. If I were in your shoes I'd be thrilled just to get my stuff back.

**Thought I should do a little edit on this... the "$6500" ride was in 1987. The car had  matching #'s etc, factory Burnt Orange ('Vette code), the entire Super Sport package--black stripes, matching black vinal top, factory mags, cowl hood...

I planned on keeping that car forever, fortunately the great memories it represented live on without it. It sure did mean a whole hell of alot more at the time though.

Maybe sometimes "older and wiser" is what it's cracked up to be--or maybe I'm just old...

Best of luck to all of you!**

Campy,

I have to think you are right.  SAI is all but finished.  If he's really done what's alleged he needs serious help and I imagine will face felony charges.  I'm not sure where "good intentions" end and criminal intent begins but I think "Judge Judy" would rule against him.

$62,000 over two years I think that number has some merit and may explain how a few "museum quality" firearms found there way out of Kansas.

If I had $62,000 I'm sure I could pay someone $1000 to kick out a prisitine AK, and dribble them out just often enough to keep more orders coming in.

OOh now I'm starting to sound like TKTM

27 months and waiting to see if the KAG can get my parts back.

you could also afford to pay advertising "fees" on certain website(s) and give kick backs to the same site for each new customer.

I feel sorry for the Wife and kids too,but by now She should be seeking legal council and getting a divorce. An old friend of mine once told me "You're only as good as the People you surround yourself with".

I don't have a dog in this hunt. I've watched this going down over the last several years as a lurker on the other board. I watched all the dysfunctional behavior and have just been incredulous. After the guy started lying about returns on property it was time to take action. That is constructive possesion , in other words stealing.I hope this guy has a dependency problem. His disjointed posts point to that. It would be hard to explain his behaviour otherwise, but of course this is conjecture. My best wishes to people to recover their property. I also think the guy needs to serve time. Here in Texas this is called theft of service.Really it has been unbelievable to watch.

I agree with Valmet on most points, especially the idea about an 'ALL SAI' forum.  As much as I like reading about it (I have about $2000 tied up in cash and parts/rifle), I do think this 'GD' forum is getting slammed with SAI posts, and I'd like a break from the insanity.  An SAI forum might help bring more GD posts back to the GD forum.

take care,
Tec

sounds to me like he is a "crankhead". there is alot of that crap goin on. once someone gets on it their behavior borders on insane. maybe he had a small habit and the big piles of money just took over and now he's in a hole that he cant get out. i have to deal with people everyday that act the same way. just a thought guys. i dont have a dog in this either and i have been watching this for some time. i really feel for you guys and hate whats happened.

I agree that the files need to be seperated and kept for future reference. As far as class actions go, these are the biggest waste of resources, as only the lawyers make out on the positve side.

I'm not really involved in all this, but it seems to me that, if anything, he does have the various parts and project stashed away somewhere.  There is no reason why they shouldn't be recovered in whatever condition they are in.  I think that everyone involved should work together to recover and sort the material itself into their respective projects.  With a little effort (and honesty) everyone should end up with what they sent back in their hands.

My biggest concern is what action to take to prevent Gucci Goo from screwing others over in the future. If any one has ever deserved to be hounded into bankruptcy and penury its GG.

heh-heh,

Down here that is called a LYNCHING.

Works for me.

Yeah, you can bet he cashed and spent every prepayment check as soon as he got them. You would a figured that he could have done better than a trailer.

i may be naive to what is going on with this guy but if this guy has kept a shit load of cash, from pre paid work, not done any work, and not returned the actual AK's either.
What is to prevent this scumbag from fixing the said rifles and selling them, or just selling the kits u sent him to other people.

Why hasn't anybody tried to sue him on the grounds of Federal mail fraud, theft, Grand theft(some guys have several guns in his possession).

The ATF should be eating this up...

The guys who sent in their stuff must still have their serial numbers and lists of parts sent to him as well as ammount of $$ they sent him.

I don't have anything sent to this guy but I have been reading the posts here and falfiles for some time and here's my take.

You all have been con on a grand scale. Your actions to get the govt. involved is the proper coarse in the criminal asspects of this. The civil end is another part. Most of you are out guns parts money aggravation. Even those of you who have gotten their stuff back are still out something. As Campy has stated GG doesn't have much but, hes not the only one envolved in this con.
In a civil lawsuit you always go after the one with the deepest pockets. The deepest pockets are the forums and mods. who deleted all neg post about SAI. these are the coconspirators in a civil suit. If it wasn't for the neg posts being deleted many of you wouldn't have considered using him. So don't think of this as suing somebody with very little to loose. Pick a state that has conservative courts and favors gun owners like Tx. This thing has gone over state lines and has involved several hundred people so there should be grounds to go class action.
Who knows maybe one or a group of you could end up owing that other forum.
