But I thought they're protecting our freedoms? Why don't they take those guns and sell them to law abiding citizens?

I agree though Campy. People dissing AKs on this board should be tortured and shot.

My god, that ugly broad from California was right. One of those AKs does look like its in a firing position and holding itself up to fire. Possessed I tell you. The AK demon is loose and the other one is trying to hurt that poor man's ax.

This probably isn't the domain to say this, but
if the tables were turned, how many hits would an M-16 need to be rendered non-funtional if using that axe?

Man I hate to see those good parts destroyed(if not just for curious research to find what kind of smorgashboard of AK's ended up in Iraq) but I guess it might be a little different for the guy with the axe, as he may have been shot at with that weapon earlier in the day... Can't they just crate em up and send them to us for analysis??? Gold SVDs, MP-5s, Chrome underfolders, ROmanian, Russian, Polish, Egyptian, Hungarian AKs, all waiting to
be cataloged.... what a shame.
