Yeah, it is a Chi-com AK. Notice that it is a standard fixed stock rifle with the buttstock removed. (notice the tang sticking out the back) My guess is it doesn't even work. Also notice the standard Iraqi photo-op pose with the finger on the trigger. Perfectly safe with an inop weapon. Mike |
I think he's trying to be like the Arab guy in the movie "True Lies". Remember the stock less Krinkov he carried around? He didn't even use a forward pistol grip on the damn thing. Apparently he could handle full auto 7.62x39 recoil out of a Krink! Perhaps this camel rider thinks he could do the same

I'll bet it fires, broken upper wood/ missing buttstock aside. ...Maybe he's waiting for the new Iraqi AW ban to sunset so he can add a buttstock to his bayo/lug equipped barreled receiver...   Edit: I see he has the original foreign pistol grip. He'll be needing a U.S. piece for his parts count...  |
