[ARCHIVED THREAD] - forearm removal

I need help removing the forearm on my arsenal ak. I can get the gas tube off but not the forearm. I don't want to damage it as I am swapping stock sets between 2 rifles. thanks in advance

At the very tip of the handguard, it inserts into a handguard retainer which hangs onto the barrel. There should be a lever which you simply flip up, and this will allow you to GENTLY pull the handguard forward and it should drop out easily.
