Doesn't appear to have been fired much. Blue is thin in some places, some handling marks. Folder is very stiff to move, but locks solidly open or closed.

Markings -

left side of the receiver:

Serial# on trunion 302XXX
AKM/47S
SEMI AUTO
7.62 x 39MM

In front of the mag well:

NORINCO
SILE N.Y.,N.Y.

I traded two rifles I had listed on the EE for it. I was asking $905 for both rifles, shipped.

As to what it actually cost me out of pocket, let's just say that it was a trade I was more than happy to make

Good deal!

I have the same thing only mine is labeled in different places than yours. My serial number is M006XXX. On the rear left side of the receiver just in front of the push button for the folding stock is stamped:

56S-1
Semi-Auto
7.62X39MM
Made in China
By Norinco
Sile N.Y., N.Y.

Very nice, you'll love every bit of it!!

Mine is Serial number MS0086XX on the left side of the trunion.

And

56S-1
Semi-Auto
7.62X39MM
Made in China
By Norinco
Sile N.Y., N.Y.
on the left near the stock release button.

I have since removed the slant comp for a barrel nut, replaced the rear sight for a windage adjustable one, and sometimes it sports a front wooden pistol grip.
