that's right!!! i finished in 3rd place out of a huge field of world class shooters at the fal shoot (tusco range, last weekend)! ok...ok...so there were only 6 shooters in my class! lol! if my freakin' sights hadn't been of by 12-14", i might have scored a little better! heheheh! congrats to rs-39. he did end up winning the scoped class, and he had his troubles also (like having his rifle nearly disassemble itself into two pieces!). i can't wait to do it again. and next time, i'll actually take that fal out of the safe and zero it (i think i had it zero'd for the plates at 50-75 yards and last shot it in august?). |

But I was only second highest score at the event. All hail Gary marks who scored a 216 with a fully intact FAL and used stock irons!!! Now if I only had time to stick around for a second relay to improve my score after reconnecting my upper and lower receivers... Next events are 3/9, 6/8 and 9/21 for FALs. I am working on a Feb date for bolt C&R and AK classes. If the date becomes set, I'll let you know. |
