it's a breeze. draw a quickie sketch prior to disassembly. remove the shepherd's crook retaining wire (routing and style varies by manufacturer). tap out thr hammer/trigger pivot pins from the right side. note: there is a spring trapped between the disconnector and trigger...don't let it fly away! remove the spring from the hammer and place it on your new hammer. insert the pre-oiled hammer pivot pin. drop in the trigger and hook the 2 legs of the hammer spring over the top-rear of the trigger. the hammer spring acts as a trigger return spring, also. drop in the disconnector with the small coil spring seated in the 2 small hole in the disconnector and the trigger. insert trigger on pre-oiled pivot pin. reinstall the shepherd's crook retaining wire, making sure it seats in the grooves of the 2 pivot pins and is locked on the standoff tube (or safety selector...depending on which model rifle you have). all done. |

It's not that hard. My trick was to use a small screwdriver to press down the shepard's hook on it's left-low end until I pushed the pin towards me thru the hole and over the wire. I found it a lot easier than routing the wire after putting the last pin thru the receiver. Just don't try it first thing in the morning on your way to the range and you'll be fine. |

Thanks guys, i've been thinking of going with the redstararms trigger. I can tear my ar's all the way down, but I wasn't shure of the hammer and trigger pins in the ak, i did'nt want to start punching them out they looked a little permenant? After seeing some i realize they are one sided... |
