Has anyone come up with a selector lever design for the AK that doesn't scratch the hell out of the receiver?  My poor VEPR has a nice arc scratched into the finish between the SAFE and FIRE selections.  I'd like to avoid this on future AKs I own.

go to radio shack.

buy heat shrink tubing.

install on selector tip.

replace tubing once a year.

problem solved.

Krebs has a different model for sale.  I don't know if it is on the web site, but I saw it in a magazine a month or so ago.

I saw one on the Krebs web site, but it looks like it was just designed so it's easier to switch positions without taking your hand off the pistol grip.  Seems like it would still scratch the finish on the receiver.  I'm going with Campy's suggestion.

Campy has never steared me wrong yet, his plan is probably better.

Well that "scratch" just lets people know, that YUO KNOW where the safety is.
