Let's say that someone has been making videos for Youtube lately of their builds (one off type builds, not your typical AKM/AK-74 builds) and has plans for making videos covering other topics other than just building AK's. What would you like to see from that person? I mean, things like "How to do ____" or things that typically come up in the AK discussions that would be nice to point someone to a video of instead of writing out a long explanation? This person has a list of things they want to do (not just AK based), but would like to make a larger list of possible videos just in case they run into a creative block.

I'm sure that person would appreciate the help.

Here's the channel:

I keep wishing there was more videos of guys running aks in different conditions. I like some are out there but most are soooo boring I give them credit for trying... Personally one on that 12in barrel chop you did would be epic that am was amazing.... What are you looking at doing more gunsmith style stuff or looking into the tac trainning and education side of the house?

More gunsmith style. I don't feel like I'm qualified to teach tactics except for marksmanship. For example, I'm currently working on a heavy barrel PSL that used an adjustable gas regulator from a Yugo M76 and the furniture from a Russian SVD. Next thing I have planned for the AK side of the house is a build using an FN FAL adjustable gas system and possibly making it a short-stroke piston system like the FAL. But I have to play with it more to see how feasible the second part would be. Other things include making etching stencils and how to etch receivers/form 1 suppressors and the like, building a heavy barrel Mosin Nagant, a Martini-Henry in .45-70, and other little things I do around the shop.

For a second I thought you and Sparks were the same person since your usernames start with an S and end in 556. Messed with my head for a minute.

I would like to see a video detailing the process and what is required to remove an FSB and gas block. Maybe a complete video of that plus installing a press on bolton block.

That should be a quick one, although I don't have a bolton block. The process should be the same for any gas block, however. I guess I could cover both 45 degree and 90 degree gas block while I'm at it. I'll add it to the list.

ETA: If you have a barrel that you want a bolton block installed on I'd be happy to do it for you so that I could also film it.

1) Simple video tutorial for straightening a canted FSB (maybe there are already a million videos of this, I've luckily never had any bad cants).

2) Modifying a CZ75 to accept CZ75B mags (just because I'm about to do this and I prefer videos to write-ups with dead links).

3) Removing the sponginess from a CZ75's SA trigger-pull (seeing a pattern here? Yeah, I'm getting selfish).

4) Definitive, one-stop shop for zeroing the AK (bonus points for including alternate "zeroes"). Since this question gets asked every week, it might be nice to just have a link in the chamber, ready to go.

5) Applying for tax stamps in the post-41F era.

6) Flashhiders that don't *PING*! (But still hide flash).

I'm just spit balling here.....

Probably a good idea to post, huh? Haha, honestly it's kind of weird listening to myself on camera and I've actually been hesitating to even mention it. But the videos don't do anyone any good if they don't see it, so I guess I need to stop being a puss about it. The channel link is now in the OP. Also, this is first attempt at making videos while I'm working, so a few times I miss filming something because I'm so focused on the work. I know that I make some mistakes throughout as well, so if you notice where I make a mistake go ahead and point it out. I've never been above being corrected so long as it's justified.

I'll put these down. I don't have a CZ75 (yet), but I do want one. If I get one soonish I'll bump up those suggestions on the to-do list.

Haha, that's why I wear it in the garage, so I don't mess up one of my good shirts. You can already see that I've painted in it. Also, thanks for the compliment. I just finished up a video on electrochemical etching receivers as well as cutting selector detent notches without the use of a mill. Plus made more progress on the heavy barrel PSL build.

I watched them all, and waiting for new ones. How about a vid on how to open up a single stack receiver..... There are some out there, but they suck!

To gear up for a possible ban of "assault features", maybe these:

Threading a barrel
Replacing a neutered bayo lug with a working one
Fixing canted sights the right way (like someone above said)
Converting a stamped, fixed-stock receiver to side-folding?
6/30/2016 4:34:36 PM EDT
[#19]
Removal and installation of ak piston for 922r compliance and/or repair.

Fixing stuck muzzle detent plunger.
6/30/2016 6:50:46 PM EDT
[#20]
For now just the psl build. This gun is going to be sick

Thanks brotha. I've been wanting to do it for a long time now and it's really exciting to see it come together.
