Was planning on getting another fullsize AK this summer.
After this morning I'll just go on and get one today. Do I want another SLR-107 or a SAM7R? Don't really need a folder but it's nice to have. Who's got 107's in stock? |

Are you going to leave it stock, or add some stuff to it?
If stock, I'd go with the SAM's milled look, maybe swap the muzzle brake for a nut. If adding stuff, SLR because it will take stamped accessories, and they even make 4.5mm AR stock adapters now if that's your thing. |

Both are good choices. I would probably go for the SAM because they are easier to find in stock right now and I like the option of a fixed stock rifle so I can change the stock length if needed for comfort. I like milled and stamped equally overall. If you want a 107 for might have to check the EE or GB because they are OOS at all the usual suspects. ETA: I bought the SAM7SF and love it but I kinda wish I went with the fixed stock version. The safety on the SF is really nice and it can be folded with the optic on. I running the x39 ACOG on mine currently |
| Tombstone Tactical has a SAM-7R and other Arsenal AKs in stock. Not sure on an SLR-107. |
