I picked this up the other day from an individual that was selling off his father in laws collection. I was wondering if somebody could tell me what I have here by looking at the markings on the trunion. I'm trying to gather info on it <snip> dryflash3 Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

That looked like a lot of people looking for value information, I was <snip> dryflash3 but I care more about finding out what I've got. If I still need to post there I will.

I edited both of your posts so you could find out what you have.

If you mention what I edited out again, this thread will be locked.

You have a Romanian GP WASR-10/63

It's your pretty typical dime a dozen WASR.  They are built in Romania from demilled military guns... so the 1963 on the trunion just means thats when the original military rifle was made.  The WASR was assembled sometime much more recent (within the last 10 years or so).

Its a rominian ak built of an original military parts kit on a new rominian semi auto reciver, it may or my not have a new barrel. It was originialy produced in 65 as the date on the trunion says. Century had the romanians put their new receivers on them, and then century brought them in as a single stack gun, then converted them to double stack and put some new US made parts into it to make it US compliant.

OP, look at your first 2 posts, I tried to save your thread instead of just locking it. dryflash3

Considering that it has a genuine military chrome-lined barrel and a fully-hardened Romanian-made receiver, I'd say that WASR is more valuable today than when it was bought.
