Bought the PSA barreled receiver and MOE build kit. Have all finished checking for function. When cycling action, when bolt starts engaging locking lug in trunnion it gets very stiff, then when trying to cycle bolt out of battery and the bolt is trying to rotate out of locked position its again very hard.
When cycling action with a round picked up from magazine, its even worse trying to open the bolt, this is with unfired round was just checking for feeding issues, basically with round trying to be ejected, you cant cycle bolt by hand. You have to tap on the bolt handle with plastic mallet a few times then it will continue to eject round. This happens every time. Is this caused by a tight fit with bolt locking lug and trunnion should i try to polish these surfaces or start somewhere else. I have cycled it many many times with no bolt installed and it slides very easily, soon as bolt is installed its easy up until mating with trunnion, and with round being chambered is basically impossible to get the bolt out of battery without tapping on bolt handle. |

I considered polishing the groove angular sides in the bolt carrier and the turning lug on the bolt with a fine rubber polishing wheel on the Dremmel tool but mine has loosened up. I have polished the ramp on my bolt action rifle and the cartridge bullet nose slides smoother up from the magazine to the chamber.

| Mine was smooth with no round, but locked up tight with a round. I hammered the bolt loose several times then decided to just fire it. It was touch and go for the first 100ish rounds. After that, it worked great. The MOE Pmags sucked, but the Romanian mags were 100%. It seems they've almost all been tight at first, but everything meshes well after a short break in. |
