So I finally got my Alpha clone put together.

I started out with a Arsenal SLR-107f

Had the barrel chopped, FSB/GB combo installed and CNC warrior Extended 4-piece muzzle brake pinned and welded on

Added

- Zenitco B30/B31C rail from AKOUL-4774
- TWS top cover
- Krebs ambi safety
- US plam grip
- EoTech 552
- Blue Force sling (gear sector QD mount)
- Tromix Charging handle
- BCM forward grip
- Krylon paint job

And this is what I came out with-

I plan to add
- AR buffer tube when a 4.5mm one comes out that is one piece and not just an adapter to screw in a tube (like the SRVV).
- ALG AKT (which I already pre-order)

Better photos and videos to follow when I get it to the range.

Very very nice man.

I wish it didn't cost an arm and a leg to get the front end work done like that.

Yeah it's definitely better to start off a SLR-107CR or the like. The GB/FSB cost 100 and the work cost 150 for mine.

I just had my AK sent off for the same chop and perm. I'm going a different route. Going all Zhukov furniture.

I have, and though it seems to be an awesome product, I'm just not a fan of the fact that a buffer threads into the adapter instead of it being a one piece deal like the SRVV. My biggest gripe is how it elongates the stock and kind of looks awkward in my opinion.

Nice, I do plan on doing something similar to my SGL21. Gonna have to have the rear trunnion out so I can add the folding trunnion.

Im told cheap to buy the legit ak rail. So Im sinking 400 bucks into my wasr.  That includes furniture, chop, flashhider, charging handle and sling.

I plan on making my own krebs style safety. Some time with a dremel and a welder and I should be in it pretty cheap.

Mine will wear a pro in an rs regulate mount.

I dig this thread idea. I've been mulling over putting together an Alpha clone, and this might just push me over the edge.

Interested to see what folks put together and how they do it.

Who does the front end work for 150? I've seen higher prices than that.

This is a place holder for a build. Mine will be a bit shorter barrel as my base firearm is a Yugo M92 that I'm going to have a recommended smith put in a NDS EZ1 receiver. Really wish someone would make a 5.75" super extended cone for the M92/95, then I could ditch the fake can. I am having receiver swapped so that the Zhukov Folder stock can fit. Mine won't end up being a true clone, but it will be based on that concept.

This is how it sits now (basically). I've got a Midwest Industries MLOK w/T1 optic cover and PA-AMD on the way. Foregrip and Zhukove are laying on top of my safe alongside Blue Force AK sling, Strike Industries MLOK rail covers and an IWS MLOK sling clip point.

ETA: I think I'm going to bug MW about coming up with an extended handguards for the Yugo (one that extends forward of the FSB and muzzle), which would ROCK for those with pinned and welded barrel extensions.

What brakes are being used by alpha or various other units besides the ole 74 brake?

The DTK-2 is highly effective on my Arsenal SLR-107FR but pretty loud if you are shooting on either side of me. Gonna try it on the SGL-31 this coming weekend.

Sorry for the terrible iTater pic.

M92PAP w/pinned & welded fake can (16"+ total barrel length)
Midwest Industries MLOK hand guard
PA Advanced MDS
CNCWarrior Hinge (left side folder)
ACE Pig nose adapter
LaRue/Magpul Urban Dark Earth CTR (it's what I had laying around)
BFG AK sling
Magpul Paraclip Adapter (get off your asses and make more paraclips, Magpul)
Magpul VFG MLOK (Stealth Grey)
Magpul MOE AK Grip (Stealth Grey)
Strike Industies MLOK rail covers (planning on getting some G10 covers next month)

Plan is to send the rifle off to Jeff Covino to have it transplanted into a NoDak Spud AKM reciever with a fixed stock single tang trunnion so I can put on the Zhukov that I have for it. I'll probably sell the Yugo reciever to someone who wants to build out their M92 kit with an original receiver. Also considering adding Krebs safety lever extension.

Yea, I know, no TWS/Zenit topcover, but
A. I'm not spending $350 on Zenit topcover/rail system (not sure it even exists for Yugo)
B. Midwest system is rock solid, with lower 1/3rd co-witness. I don't wear a huge visor like those guys, so I don't need the riser for chin weld. Red dots work just fine moved out front in the scout position.

I really would like to know what stock adapter that is. It is not SRVV (since those are 5.5; unless he reworked the back of the receiver to take a 5.5) or JMac Customs.

If its still 4.5mm, I'd bet its the CAA adapter. The JMAC wasn't available when Vickers put that together.

SRVV doesn't offer a 4.5mm Tactube currently. LAV must of either replaced the rear trunnion to a 5.5mm or modified the Tactube to fit somehow...
