Has anyone converted an amd 65 side folder to an under folder?

You would need a welder and an underfolder trunion, unless you want to leave the old holes open. If that's the case you would need an UF trunion for the UF stock.

Thankfully, I've never seen one.

You'd cross the 'just buy an underfolder' threshold before you were halfway through that project.

I;d steer clear of a UF. I have one and I hate shooting it. I am in the process of waiting on a conversion kit from FAB to convert it from a UF to a side folder with AR stocks.

AMD stock is more comfortable to shoot than an underfder.

I would'nt change it for functionality or comfort.

You're better off getting a UF specific receiver and replacing the existing one. Converting an AMD 65 receiver to UF would be super difficult and time consuming. And not advisable if it's an original Hungarian receiver.
