| Have a question for those out there who have been through this. Getting ready to send back a rifle to Century and if it needs to be replaced will I have to get a new background check on it and pay the fees? Would they send it to my residence or to my LGS? I have never been in this situation and I'am a bit apprehensive about shipping a rifle I just bought last week. It's an issue with an underfolder stock. |

It was a lemon. Sent it back to Century to fix. It came back and was still having the same problem. Call them and sent the rifle back again. Century shipped me a brand new VZ2008 straight to my house a few weeks later. Not sure about your local gun law, but more than likely you will NOT need another background check. The replacement rifle will probably shipped to yours house. |

This seems to be Century's policy. A few years ago when Century did a recall on the Golani, everyone who sent the rifles in got different ones back sent directly to them. Century recorded the serial number exchange, & apparently it's legal. While I still scratch my head on that one, I'm sure Century has a large legal team who said it was OK. GARY They didn't need a large legal team for that one. All that was needed was one lawyer who had read the statute. 18 United States Code 922 (a) (2)(A) specifically permits licensees to ship a firearm which has been repaired or a replacement firearm of the same type directly to a non-licensee. That provision has been in the law since 1968. |
