I ordered an arsenal SAM7 UF and it came to my FFL. This rifle is awesome the fit and finish are almost 100% (more on that in the cons) overall I am very happy to own this fine copy of an ak.
pros: awesome fit, everything locks up as it should and nothing is difficult to manipulate, safety is smooth as is the under folder mech. mags lock in perfectly, I tried about 8 different kinds from Yugo, Chinese, Romanian drums, and random E Euro mags. All locked up tight and removed easily $50 kvar coupon Is a nice touch and ill finally be able to own a ((10)) 7.62 mag. cons: FINISH: painted on finish sucks, in the process of inserting 8 mags the painted on finish inside the magwell started chipping away. This is not a big deal for me at all as this isn't a safe queen and I don't care what the inside of the mag well looks like PRICE:I paid 1290 after shipping transfer background check ect. Pretty steep price for an ak but it really is the nicest one I have handled SMALL ISSUE:Muzzle break detent is stuck, I put some clp on it hoping it would free itself up and it hasn't I gently tapped it down and it is now stuck down  it still secures the muzzle nut and im going to put a few hundred rounds downrange next time I go and see if it will free itself. I really don't want to remove the pin in the FSB to free it up but I may have to.
Overall I am happy with this purchase after an initial cleaning to remove some left over small metal pieces from the machining process it looks great and is very smooth. |
