| I am thinking about replacing the Vltor/Magpul stock kit on my Arsenal and going with a sidefolder. I am also kicking around the idea of putting one on my IZ-332 when I get it converted. I am not completely sold on the idea, and would like to see what you have done to yours, what parts you used, how easy it was to install, how its held over time and use. Also if you have any opinions on the stocks available today or leads on good deals, please advise. |
| I have an AK 100 series folder, an AK 74 triangle folder, and two Beryl folders on rifles. Honestly, the simple Beryl folder that works with the standard tang is a great stock. Bonesteel makes one similar to it that is very popular on this forum. The Beryl is a short a stock, 8 1/2 inches, but I like that - YMMV. The 100 series and 74 triangles are more expensive to install. Both are good stocks. But they fold left which might not be so great if you mount an optic on your side rail. If money was no issue I would probably put a 100 series or 74 triangle on all my AKs. |

I am thinking about doing this combination:
ACE AKRBC AK Receiver Block Compact and DPH Arms Galil Style Stock w/ Hinge That combo puts me at $150. The only thing I don't like is the tang removal, but I suppose its not that big of a deal. I also like this setup: BoneSteel AK/Saiga folding Stock I wouldn't have to do a permanent mod to the rifle. By all accounts its drop in, and its only $5 more because I want to fold to the left (more left hand raycismismssss). |
