It does look bulky. Can EOTech please stop selling to these douchebags.
And who is the creepy homeless guy in the background of this pic? http://foto.rg.ru/photos/029e13a4/index.html#6 |

I don't think the shooter is gonna like the case ejection on that gun. |

And socks? They are rockin' That's actually a big deal for them. When the Russkies came out to Lejeune to train with us I was completely amazed that they used foot wraps instead of socks. I should have brought some of them to the PX and let them go crazy on the 12 packs of socks. |

If that has the standard ejection of the PKM, when you fire that thing you are going to get a face full of ejected links, and if your face is too low some very violently ejected casings on the chin. |
| Gear looks plenty capable to me. I keep hearing how the rest of the world is unable to equip their troops with modern battle gear, yet this appears to be evidence to the contrary. Whether or not these items find their way into the hands of rank and file troops is yet to be seen. But, if they do make this stuff largely available I see it as a force multiplier for a military that already has a lot of boots to put on the ground so to speak. |

Agreed. How many times have we seen this? Staging a small arms fair is easy, anyone can do it. Equipping the force will be exponentially harder. Quoted:

Meh, just another dog and pony show. I'll be impressed if the whole force is equipped. Agreed. How many times have we seen this? Staging a small arms fair is easy, anyone can do it. Equipping the force will be exponentially harder. The Russian national debt is only 200-400 billion depending on whose estimates you use. US debt is at 17.5 trillion, and the moron in charge just proposed another record-deficit budget. I would submit that the Russians could gear up fairly easy, while the US is standing by to crash and burn in epic fashion and there won't be money for anything let alone arming the military. |
|
I'd say it would be easy to gear up airborne and special units, there is already plenty of evidence of modernization with the VDV in the Ukraine.
Considering how large the rank and file general forces are would probably make it very hard to equip everyone like that. Russia is doing very well in certain areas like aviation, they have also been remilitarizing steadily for a while now |

It must have some sort of deflector or sheet metal chute to make the cases drop straight down like that. A PKM on the #3 (high) gas setting can embed casings into wood from the force of the casing ejection! I have seen this with our in house PKM!
Hmm...we do have a spare kit laying around, maybe just maybe... |

That safety looks pretty unreasonable to deal with. |
