Well I've read just about everyone hates the Arsenal stock trigger. So what are some of the better triggers out there? I've read alot of people like the G2 trigger but I've also read about "bolt drag" and people say they are garbage. Also when I did a big search I was getting threads and posts from 2007 so I figure something might have changed since then.

Have you even fired the rifle you're looking to modify? I read the same things about the Arsenal FCG before I bought my SLR-107CR and thought I would need to buy a replacement FCG when I got it. Now... I actually prefer the Arsenal components to those in my other rifles. If you must switch, I use the G2 in my others.

Nope, it is on the way. A new SLG104-34

Just wanting to be ready if I need to swap it. I mean an aftermarket trigger setup doesn't cost alot.

For the price, a Tapco trigger is hard to beat.  There isn't much Tapco that I like, but the triggers are good..

I've always run RSA FCG's in mine, though it's a bit more than most people seem willing to pay.

I like G2s for general purpose work.

I like polished Arsenal 2 Stage triggers in my DMR-type rifles.

I haven't seen a trigger yet on any rifle ever, that couldn't be made into a good trigger with a minor amount of work. Not hard at all really.

The Tapco G2 has been awesome in my M70. It came with it but the trigger pull is good,  the break is crisp,  and the reset is also very crisp.

Is there any good DIY for polishing an AK trigger? These are some I found http://www.gunandgame.com/forums/ak47/135285-trigger-polishing.html

I got one that's just sitting in my bin. It's not compatible with any of my Arsenal rifles due to the tall trigger guard rivet.

I can't imagine using anything other than the Arsenal trigger.  It is so far superior to the TAPCO as to make the comparison a joke.  The Texas isn't as bad as the TAPCO, but it still doesn't measure up to the Arsenal.  I put Arsenals in all my AKs and it is the only one I can recommend.

That being said, no AK trigger is completely drop in, and all may require some adjustment for safe operation in your particular gun.  The TAPCO just a lot more than the Arsenal.

The Arsenal so-called 2 stage (neither the Arsenal, nor the TAPCO is a 2-stage) has a bump on the hammer and trigger that must be filed/sanded smooth, and the Arsenal disconnector has a tail.  The tail must either be removed completely (as was done on the TAPCO), or the triggerguard rivet installed that stops the longer disonnector tail from causing trigger slap.

I ground the rivet down about 3 or 4 mm in my SGL-31, works great.

Really, I find my g2 much smoother and lighter than my stock arsenal on sgl-21. I also have one on my amd-65, and those 2 ak's are definitely my favorite.

I have the G2 in my Arsenal SLR 95 and It is sweeeeet. I have the hammer, hooks, all contact points fully polished smoothe and it is super crisp / light.......the first thing anyone comments on when they shoot my AK is how awesome the trigger is.......I also polished the bottom of the bolt carrier.........my rifle has no hangup at all when charging the weapon.....it dam near glides like its on ice to the point a 4yr old can charge it with a finger or two

The only thing I get out of an unmodified G2 is hammer follow - in just about any gun.  Not something those who mash the trigger will likely experience, but for those with better trigger control, it happens so much I won't install an unmodified G2 in any rifle.

After lower the hammer shelf and increasing the disconnector engagement, it still isn't as awesome as a polished Arsenal.

I would go with the G2 after shooting my friends converted saiga build with a tapco trigger I had to put one on my SGL21. Never regretted it and so easy to install.

G2, no regrets, I have one in every AK except my SA M7 SF from 2006, that trigger is basically the same... just a little smoother

How about giving a g2 some love...Can it be made smoother. Only weirdness I feel with it is in the reset.

I have a G2 on the way with a retainer plate just incase I don't like the Arsenal trigger.

I use a Texas Trigger with a JTE Performance Power Spring.
The trigger travel is about a 1/4 of an inch.
I estimate 3.5 pound of pull after polishing the hammer and trigger.
