Alright I'm in the process of getting the parts together to deban my mak90. I'm going for a practical setup vs tradition I want a vortex or phantom flashider. Do I simply use a crush washer to keep the brake from coming loose?

I'm not overly knowledgable on the AK yet. I have 3 now and maybe 10 over the years. Most have a spring loaded pin to hold the comp/Flash hider in place. Others will have more info..

The vortex and current phantom that I see on the marked do not have notches for the detent pin. The original phantom for the AK did. Since the vortex and phantom do not require indexing, you shouldn't need to use a crush washer.
