Hello guys,
Can a SLR 95 accept the 2 tang milled Arsenal stock set that KVAR sells (the same one the SAM 7 is shipped with)? Thanks all in advance. |

well technically, yes, but like Tactical said, you won't have the lower tang, so you won't have the support, and you will have a hole milled in the bottom of the stock for no reason. They do have single tang stocks out there though. If you want wood, look at Ironwood Designs. |

A properly converted SLR-95 is Sweet, even with the pinned on brake. Riveting the lower tang is the correct way, but I've seen guys srew the lower tang on as well. |
| Not necessary except for visual fulfillment. I stuck a Bulgy buttstock on a similar rifle & never installed the lower tang in 2002. 11 years later, all is well. If my receiver had been cut out for the lower tang, I would have installed it, but to me, it wasn't worth the effort. I still have the lower tang from Global Trades. [Arsenal USA]. GARY |
