I'm hoping someone on here is a Gordon Tech expert if there is such a thing. Haha. I'm trying to figure out the model # of my AK.  I know it's an Arsenal built by Gordon but I'm not sure about the model. It has an SLR I think but hole for the underfolder is where the rest of the model # should be.  Anyone know what models Gordon built or how to tell the difference between models.  Thanks for your help.

Gordon Tech built their AK's using Bulgarian SLR-100 receivers.  However, so did several other companies.  The only one that I'm aware of doing factory underfolder conversions on them was Vector Arms.  But in reality, any of them could have been converted to underfolders by any AK builder any time after they were originally made.

Gordon Tech rifles were marked with the company info on the bottom of the receiver, in front of the magwell.  They also had a "G" stamped on the barrel somewhere.

All you ever wanted to know about Gordon Tech/Arsenal USA (which was not Arsenal NV that we know today).

Golden oldie arfcom thread:

Thanks for the responses guys. I'll check that thread out. My AK does have Gordon's marks in front of the mag and the G on the barrel.

If you'd like to know a little more about the SLR-100 receivers and what made the Gordon Tech's the best, the below thread might interest you. Just scroll to the bottom of the initial post, where is says "Bulgarian Milled Import Builds"
