I have a totally stock AK.  The only upgrade is an Ultimake and a Aimpoint Micro.  What is the best way to mount a light?

VLTOR offset scout mount is very good on an ultimak. You could also roll with the RS Regulate BM1 barrel mount or the DBMG barrel mount.

If compliance parts are not an issue you could run with an LHV47 lower hand guard and mount the light on the side or bottom

LHV47 with Ultimak (Some trimming of the LHV is required but not much and it's easy to do)

DBMG barrel mount (RS is similar)

On an Ultimak the best light mount is an IWC Thorntail imo.

I use a VLTOR quick release offset. Works great.

Do you know where I can get one of these LHV47 lower hand guards? All I see is the CAA version which I don't like... looking for the older TDI version in black...

Try to find one on GB or EE. I may be wrong but I think TDI discontinued that version.

I like the gear sector mounts.  I have used them with several ak's w/ ultimak rails.

Yeah... I found that... but it is only available in green and FDE.
