Here it is, it's on the ADM mount with hood protector http://i42.tinypic.com/2qa1u7s.jpg http://i40.tinypic.com/1411s81.jpg http://i39.tinypic.com/2uizp8o.jpg That ADM mount sits considerably higher than most micro sight mounts, though. Nice setup. |

Why'd you go with the akars when you have a side scope rail on your rifle??
Just curious. I' ve been thinking about putting that on one of my ak's. All i have preban chinese rifles with no scope rails and i didnt want to drill The receivers to add rails so i've been lookin at my options. Sell one and buy arsenal with scope rail Add scope rail to receiver Put akars top cover on I wanna use an ak for runnin carbine matches but wanna use some kinda red dot. |

OP, are you going to try and zero your irons aswell?
I believe the manufacturer states it is to be zeroed at 14m. Unfortunately, I found my front post on my DRACO was almost hitting the top of the front sight hood, basically making it impossible to use my irons. Not sure if anyone else had a similar issue. |

As for the questions,
1) Does the mount sit any lower - Im not sure the pic did it justice with the angle, it sits a little lower than it looks. But there are shorter mounts. If you go without the metal protector on the standard mount its even lower, Im thinking I will just deal with it. Ive never had a perfect cheek weld on an AK optic 2) Why not side mount - I thought about this as well but the AKARS mounts lower. I never was a fan of the side mounts but to each their own. 3) Will i zero Irons - Will post back on this, not sure if its doable. |
