Ok I have chance to buy an centruy arms rpk aes-10b , romanian built.
Date shows 1976, and is right out of the box. The tag shows imported in 5/12. Bud has only clean the cosmoline off. But has yet to fire the gun. Has tapco trigger, and has smooth clean break. Has 2 40 round mags. Is it worth 600? |

Had the gun in my possession all day Friday, but gave back to him.
Was neat gun but was back and forth on the size, and another caliber(7.62x39) to buy. Odd that the wood stock is so short for long gun, think it would be longer (I have a 79" arm span, 31.5" on my bow). Felt almost like my ar with stock let all the way in. |

Yeah welcome to AK stocks man, alot of people complain about the WARSAW length of an AK buttstock being too small. You get used to it though. I think you are crazy for passing up on a gun that cheap, especially one thats hard as hell to find now |

In honor of this thread, i was inspired to dig this bitch out of the safe and shoot it tomorrow. <a href="http://s11.photobucket.com/user/ZEROTHOMAS/media/null_zps052fcbae.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a190/ZEROTHOMAS/null_zps052fcbae.jpg</a> Like finish of the wood. Much better than stock. Polyurethane over, or strip then poly? I'm going to do it. Listed my spikes lower on EE for help pay for the RPK. |

I like the adjustable one on yours. |

The carry handle is somewhat messily welded onto the RSB though But I'll live. Only paid $600 for this one a year ago and glad I got it when I did |

Or was that just the AES-10 and not the "B" version. Someone correct me if im wrong, i think i might have it mixed up |

Someone correct me if im wrong, i think i might have it mixed up I think they put the PKM bipod on a batch of imports because that's simply what they had lying around. I've seen several variations of these rifles: folding stock, correct bipod and all matching numbers, fixed stock, PKM bipod, matching numbers, fixed stock PKM bipod, complete mixmaster, and fixed stock, correct bipod, mismatch (like mine). I think the factory/importer just uses what they have on hand, kinda like the WASRs. Seen complete matching guns but my friends rifle is a complete mix of numbers. Does your RPK have a dated trunnion? Mine was scrubbed and restamped. ETA: Our rifles are the B model, with the heavy barrel. The AES-10 is essentially a long barreled WASR. |

I'll have to check the trunnion when i get home. I dont recall On a side note since this thread was hijacked into a pic thread to convince the OP to buy it. From today;
