Mags are proprietary and $200+. People say you can make other magazines work but they will never work well. I found it was easier to buy additional Valmets to supply magazines. Very few parts interchange with anything else, even other Valmets. The stock cracks and chips so easily. Once it cracks you kill the value, and you'll need to make a lot of regular repairs if you want to shoot it (ever). It is very heavy and balances weird. The sights are funky in a bad way.
The trigger is good. Buy one if you are an advanced Valmet collector and plan on putting it in a safe with padding on both sides. |
