cool project. It looks looks like that transition point has a bad stress riser tendency.

I Hope to test fire this next coming weekend.....I'll have brakes made of Delrin, High Density Polyethylene, Low Density Polyethylene and Torlon. All of them are different types of polymers.

This is one of the coolest projects I've seen in a long time, if not the coolest. We were due for some outside of the box thinking. I hope it goes well.

evl....

Cool! Look forward to seeing it, thanks for trying something new....I wonder if you couldn't do the entire front sight post assembly in similar fashion/materials?

While I applaud your effort and thinking out of the box, I predict that the first shot, the muzzle blast will grenade it.

Thanks....and if you think about it the Magpul MBUS sights are polymer.

Muzzle blast isn't something a MBUS typically has to deal with.  Still like your project though and am looking forward to field testing.

Yeah but the guy I quoted was wondering about a front site post assembly and seeing as the MBUS can take the heat it is possible.

Yup, my bad.  Long day at work, my reading comprehension isn't quite up to par at the moment.

MBUS melt when installed in contact with the barrel like on a railed gas block.
