I've seen a few go north of $600.00.    If your are looking I'd be patient.  Keep checking the classified adds on many boards.  Eventually you will get lucky and find on at a reasonable price.

Whatacountry has underfolder kits for $400, and Atlantic has Romanian barrels for $160.

Matching Romanian G kits with original barrel are going for $600+ over and over. What is a Polish worth over that.....?

$600 for a $99 Romanian kit???

You can't be serious.

Maybe I need to cut up a Romanian G rifle and sell it as a kit.

I see this all the time on the FAL files. A nice FAL is on the for sale site, asking $1000. It doesn't sell, but a similar kit will go for $600, the receiver will get $400, & the US parts another $100, & these parts will sell in a day, while the gun won't get sold, or take a week to sell. It's like the parts are worth more than the gun. I just don't understand this.  GARY

I see that too.  the built rifle is never worth the sum of its parts.

They do sell.

I've been looking for about a year now for a nice Romanian to add to my collection. When you limit your options to matching with original barrel....you have slim pickings and they all want too much money. Look for one with a nice finish...

I always passed over them in the past and bought Hungarian, Polish, Bulgarian, Egyptian etc. Now that I feel the need they are all selling at more than I paid for any of my kits and I have an unissued krink kit.

To be even more of an AK snob I want one that has the arrow in the triangle and no G and I would like a 77 at that.
