Looks expensive, but cool. Also, I'm not so sure many people are going to be comfortable with drilling out their existing gas tube lock.

Please don't mention aesthetics as a "feature". Things that work well have an aesthetic appeal all on their own. Also, how are you "a leader in rail design?" Can you quantify that or is that just marketing?

What I'm concerned about:

-Will optics mounted on it hold their zero?

-Will it stay together during a carbine class?

-Will it last, or will the pin holes go egg-shaped or crack over time?

You'll pardon my skepticism, but the AK platform seems to be a magnet for cheap, poorly-designed rails and other trinkets.

Get this to some hard-users, take their input and show that you're not just a "me too" capitalizing on a market with historically low standards.

OP, discussing concepts and answering tech questions are fine.

Prices and availability are not.

Skepticism is to be expected when releasing a new product. We are an industry leader, we manufacture the number one selling rails for the Saiga 12. Although we've done extensive in house testing we are lining up beta testers throughout the AK community to both promote this new rail concept and to gain real feed back. We manufactured rails that see the battle field and stand the test of time,  As far as our aim at durability, that was displayed when Redjacket "Son of Guns" used one of Chaos rails to mount two weapons together in their "master key" project. We are 100% American manufactures, Google Chaos Saiga 12 rail and you will know our reputation.

Neva bendun befo

Plus they will probably "make it" like they did all the other stuff they claimed was made in house, yet still had other logos on it.

I understand how they have been view by serious weapon enthusiasts, but the fact still remains our rail was used to hold two weapons together. People who have had our rail in hand know why the Chaos rail was picked to do that task!

Unfortunately I think alot of those reality show go that route, they try to grow to big to quick and all of a sudden they have M1's on the store shelf with their logo planted on it.

Based on the responses here its probably doomed though because everybody knows every other gun, part, or mag manufacturer came out with the perfect product on the first try, so you should probably quit now.

Looks like a lot of the typical arfcom response, lets bitch about new shit like the same funds we demonize on a daily basis....forget that crap.  Interesting concept, I would like to see where it goes.

I don't expect perfection. If I did, I wouldn't own any aftermarket gear...Or guns at all.

What I WON'T tolerate is cutting corners or using slick marketing and wild claims to sell a subpar product to people who may be using it to protect themselves.

Drama much.  No one is going to make a lack-luster video of their product.  How bout you reserve judgement until there are some reviews out there.  Oh and look I CAN capitalize letters too....

Our design is based off the Romanian AK, with different style keys this rail should fit any AK variant along those lines. We have beta testers with different AK variants for feedback. Once we are at that stage we'll have alot better feed back on what fits what!

Cameron,
Do you have any plans for a MODULAR handguard system? Add rails where you want them, etc..

It looks good for what it is, but I'm waiting for you to build a Titan Quad Rail for the AK, just like the one for the S-12. Something that comes out over the gas block & is drilled for your HK sights. I really like that long, same plane upper rail. I doubt I'll ever see one, but if you make it, you'll get my money.

Seriously, with your attention to detail and quality fit and finish, I think a modular unit would sell like hotcakes. The existing market offerings have a few shortcomings that seem to be addressed with this system.

I'm seriously interested in a rail like this for my newly required Saiga 5.45x39.   Any chance you can post a link to the install instructions so I can see what all gunsmithing and modifications would be required if I purchase this?  Also on your website I don't see a link to the Titan rail product page for the AK47/74 Saigas.  I only see the Saiga 12 gauge link here:

http://www.chaosus.com/cgi/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=TITAN_QUAD_RAIL

Will this Saiga 12 rail work on the Saiga AK47/74s or is there a separate system for that?  I'm guessing I would have to remove the rear site and do some serious grinding.   I'm basically looking for a rail to mount my Burris MTAC and QD mount with the ability to still service my rifle and hold zero.   This system seems to be the best option if it works as advertised but I don't want to make any permanent modifcations to my rifle that can't be undone.

Any additional info is appreciated! Thanks!

We have not setup our website for the new AK47 Titan just the intro video. we will be putting up a section on this rail system soon. The Saiga 12 Titan is a totally different system from the AK47. The AK Titan requires no sight removal, simply the removal of the factory gas tube retaining pin.
