So I bought one and installed it on my SGL-21 assuming it would have no practical value but might be fun.

I went out shooting and the only thing I managed to hit was the far right side of the guy next to me's target.  I might have made a few hit my target, but not many.  He probably thought I was quite the tool out trying to blast away with that thing, and I wasn't even opening it up rambo style, I was just firing 2-3 round bursts.

Is there any way to control this thing?  I'm not expecting pinpoint accuracy but putting 2-3 rounds on a man-sized target at 25 feet doesn't sound too lofty a goal.  Will a vertical foregrip help, or am I wasting my time trying to get any kind of vague accuracy and should just use it to squirt out ammo in a general direction?

Shooting what is essentially full auto? Good luck with that. Just pull down the muzzle while firing, while keeping it firm into your shoulder is about the best you can do. Full auto fire is very inaccurate, and is not meant to be. I personally have no interest in the Slidefire. They look weird, and I can't afford the ammo.

I figure they must be crap since they are about the only thing still in stock anywhere .

+1

I prefer to just bump fire from the shoulder.  It requires skill which makes it fun, and it's legal... the stock is "kinda" legal but too much grey area for me to consider one.

No way I'd consider bump firing at the range tho... it's all over the place!

Mount it on a M&P 15/22 and enjoy.

Stance, practice, slant break or other effective in reducing recoil?
