| my front sight block doesn't have a hole drilled for the spring-loaded detent to hold a muzzle device in place. can i do this myself? what size hole and how deep should it go? i really don't feel like replacing the entire block. |

I am in for answers as well. The block an a SAR-1 I've been looking at has the hole, so what could I use as the detent? Just some stock that fit the hole with a small spring on it? This all you need, like $6 with shipping. http://www.cncwarrior.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=23294 |

| your going to have to pull the fsb off. i would have it milled out properly. the part is harded steel and its easy for the bit to travel and theres not much meat on the sides of the hole thats being drilled. if your going to do it yourself i would pull the fsb lock it down tight in a drill press, get some good bits and go low and slow. get your parts and that will give you a good idea of how deep you should go. ive seen gunbuilders fuck this up. |
