I love those except for the rail on the cover that to me is pointless as it will move so much unless it is anchered to the rear sight base like some after market options. The fit and finish looks great.

Congratulations on your purchase - the Yugo rifles are great rifles!

But definitely take heed of that top cover rail set-up.  It's not a good design at all and won't retain a truly accurate hold.

those rifles would be that much better without those, is there a place where you can get a replacement cover?

You fire it yet, does it run right?

Been reading a lot about those having FTF issues because of the single stack bolt and the profile of the feed-ramp area. Many are even having issues when hand-cycling them.
There seems to be a pretty effective fix method, achievable with a Dremel tool and a steady hand. Couple good write ups over in the Yugo section.

Hope yours is a good one from the start though, it sure looks good!

Dry firing it cycles good, charging half way its smooth and not rough. Sights are good, have not fired it yet, its been crazy snow here in Maine the last few days, will be giving it a try next week when I'm back up, will post some pics/vids of how it goes. AFAIK they changed the bolt or magwell to accept double stack mags. I've heard about it originally accepting single stack but from the shop, manual, and research it will accept and fire double stack ok, will post results soon.

@dryflash3,

Thanks, I know its not bolted down, work @ Boston which takes time away from the "hobbies"

I am sure it will be a  fine ak if you do not depend on the receiver cover mount for you  sight. Please report to us your results of this rifle so we know keep us up to date.
