| Hi on the fence about a Yugo ak The guy selling it says in add its pre ban I asked what kind he said Yugoslav milled receiver made in the 50 s he bought it in pa at show did background check it was a re welded reciver he was told by dealer and its a under folder I live in ny need to know if its legal here being built on a few else's reciver from early 90 s pleAse any help greatly appreciate |

Ok that's good to know still is it legal to re weld a milled reciver and build a rifle If I was you I would shoot it and then take some picture and post them here and do research. There's a lot of guys on here that would be able to tell you everything with a picture. Just tell the guy you'll think about it |

The quality of reweld builds is all over the map depending on who did the work. I would look the receiver over real good (inside and out), paying particularly close attention to the welds. A quality reweld build can be an excellent rifle. My Yugo M64 is a reweld (Matt Yeamans) and it is a great rifle. |
