Looking to trade in my AR-15 for a AK type rifle.
Out of the options out there which are known to be the most reliable/well built? Thanks! |
That's like asking if the sky is blue... . Seriously though, most are pretty well made. The ones I've seen issues with are from Century Arms, and we've got a couple from I.O.R that have had some issues, pretty much luck of the draw from my experience. If you want to get a solid AK right off the bat, go with Arsenal.

I find the AK more fun to shoot, and vainly like the way it looks over the AR. Its also much cheaper, everytime I look at my AR I want to add something. | I did the same thing. Had an AR and just wanted something I knew would shoot when I needed it too. Hate to say it but was thinking of a shtf type thing. You just never know these days. I went with a SGL series. I love it. Shoot very accurate for me and goes bang every time. I don't think you can beat it. Good luck. |

Standard US cal 5.56NATO, hammer forged chrome lined 1/7 twist barrel, sidefolding stock, optic rail attachment. It will shoot as good as your old AR and is very compact when folded for carrying to the range. Not much to upgrade out of the box.
