Just got my new SGL 31-62 and was going through the paperwork.  In it was the target that they shot.  It was a 25m target with the grouping dead center.  Now is this rifle already zeroed from the factory if so for what range based off the use of a 25m target.  I do plan on confirming it but was curious if it was good to go out of the box.

They laser boresight them.  I believe at 25m.

Iron sights are kind of a personal thing, what is zeroed for one guy may not be zeroed for another.  I'd still recommend taking it out and confirming the zero with some live fire.  It'll probably need some tweaking.

My SGL was perfectly zeroed for me out of the box.  Ive never shot mine past 100 yards though.

They should be "relatively" close. A different shooter and ammo will most likely throw it off though.

My 21 was close.  I had to adjust it a little for my liking but just barely.  It should be fine.

With a near zero at 25, the far zero depends on the rear sight setting. If it was on the battlesight setting (letter at end of sight leaf)) it will be about 300m, and quite high at 100. That is the most likely situation. For shooting at 100 yds, set it on '1' and adjust the front sight windage and elevation (if needed) to zero at 100. This will 'index' all the other sight ranges more or less, and will be a little low at 25 and close to zero at 50. The purpose of the battlesight setting is make hits on torso-sized targets from close range to beyond 300m during combat when targets may appear at all ranges with no time to reset the rear sight. For most purposes outside of military combat, the '1' setting is the most useful, giving hits closer to the line of sight out to 150m.
