| I'm having trouble installing the hammer pin into my Maadi AK 47. I can't get the pin to go in all the way through. Seems like the pin is getting hung up on the hammer & won't allow it to go completely through. I just need it to go in a tad more to install the retainer that keeps the pins in place. Any ideas how to solve this??? |

The hammer will have strong springs that makes matters worse. What causes the most problem is the springs press against it and the little lip that the holder sits on gets hung up on the receiver.
Normally will grab the hammer with a pliers which allow you to wiggle it around much easier and if need be use a plastic/rubber hammer pop it in. Another big helper is a gun vice even a cheap one from walmart will help. Plus it is nice for cleaning and installing shepard hooks. YMMV |
