Hey yall,

I recently got my first AK and wanted to change it up a little bit. It had an adjustable stock on it and I prefer a fixed stock. I know that I want a stock that is NATO length since I am a bigger guy. I was looking at stocks on K-Vars site and saw THIS . I just wanted to make sure that this would work with an AK47 variant since it says AK74. I am new to the AK world so I am unsure if there is any difference.

Also, I know that I can order the stock from Midway but for some reason I cannot find the screws for the buttstock on their website. I would prefer to order everything from the same place to save on shipping as I have heard that K-Var has a high shipping cost.

Thanks for the help

What type of AK? As in is it a saiga conversion, arsenal, Romain, Bulgarian, does it have a milled or stamped receiver? Need more info, feel free to post pics as that will help.

Try AK-builders.com. They have the stock in Nato length and also the screws. Should be less money than K-Var.

It's a Saiga conversion from Kreb's Custom. Stamped receiver.

Here's a pic of it the day after I got it.

The stock you linked will fit your rifle.  The screws can be found here.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I will probably end up buying the stock and screws through them to save on shipping. I just wanted to make sure it would fit before ordering.

Has anybody purchased from AK-builder.com? Are they G2G? It would be $10 cheaper to go through them compared to K-Var. I don't see how it can cost them (K-Var) $17 to ship a buttstock and two screws when I shipped a whole rifle for about the same... their shipping is ridiculous to say the least...

Thanks

Try emailing or calling Kvar to see if they can ship it via USPS for cheaper. Usually they try to for smaller stuff to save on shipping for people but for whatever reason they can't implement that option in their checkout system.
