I want to get to the AK side.

Ive been looking at WASR 10's. they are like $400 or something?

are they okay shooters for lets say, hunting and general gun range trips?

or are they complete trash?

is it still a good example of an AK47? 4 MOA?

in the important threads section there is tons of info regarding the WASR and a beginners guide to the AK

The WASR isn't a bad gun, but Century Arms who builds them doesn't always have the best quality control. If you plan on buying a WASR, do not buy one sight unseen. The biggest issues with them is canted sights.

For a general range gun they are fine, as to a hunting rifle, keep in mind that 4MOA is about the average for most 7.62x39 AK's.

Look around here in the AK section, also check out Atlantic Firearms website. They have a really good selection of different AKs, everything from the WASR to the Arsenal SGL series, to the Vepr rifles

reason im asking about WASR's is because im kinda tight. $400 is what they go for usually?

I think they've gone up a bit and become a bit scarcer of late.  My local gunshop had one the other day, new-fixed stock, for $570.00.

They are fine guns; my son has an underfolder version.  It goes bang every time.  No issues.

I haven't seen a WASR for less than 500.00 in a long time in my area and with the election coming they won't be going down anytime soon.

Agreed. $500 is now about the cheapest you can get into the AK game, and that's pretty sad, really.

Look for used AKs here. and new AKs here.

Dunhams has the WASR 10 for $440.00................ That's a good price in today's market...................
If you have a store near you,, you can look at them before you buy. Look for straight alignment of the sights and a snug fitting magazine.
GL with whatever you buy and welcome to the forum.......
