| So I ran a fishing weight down the barrel of my romy to check the diameter because I load for this gun. I'm guessing I need to use the largest (widest) measurment I got, which was .312? Most of my reloads are w/.310 bullets, so that's I guess the best I can do. Wish I could find both .311 and .312 dia. bullets. |

Actually, you would be surprised at the differences in the 7.62 x 39 ammo out there now. Even from Russia it can be anywhere from .308 to .311. If your reloading with .310 now..just stick with that and your fine. Don't over think it, it's an AK. Remember that AK's were designed with the idea of loose tolerances...a trade off of accuracy for better reliability.
