Does anyone have this setup, or seen/used it before? Can you cowitness the irons and the EOTech? I currently have a bushnell TRS- 25 mounted on my ultimak rail, and it cowitnesses nicely, but I am wondering if the EO tech is too "tall" for this to be accomplished. Thanks.

Eotechs are designed to co-witness on an AR, which makes them way too tall to co-witness with anything on an AK.

Shot an AK with a set up as described and it was too tall to use irons....
Cheek weld was horrible and the stock kind of slapped you in the jaw during recoil.

If you absolutely have to have a full size red dot choose the Aimpoint for a forward mount.
I love Eo's but the Aimpoint is better suited for mounting on a firearm like an Ak
It will co-witness...

Not my Ak - but found it on the net for example

FAIL
You can def tell by this pi c- that set up is a NO-GO

I have a few Eotech Holosights mounted on my AK's. The Ultimak is a no-go. The heat and the energy transfer is going to tear your Eotech apart. I have mine mounted in the back using a MOLOT side rail optics mount, as well as a BP-02 on another rifle. The cheekweld can be fixed with a stock upgrade, but it is a jaw weld for me.

Thanks all. I currently have the Bushnell TRS-25 mounted on mine, but am considering an upgrade. Not too keen on spending the $600-$700 on an aimpoint micro. Ill still with the Bushnell.
