After much searching and learning I'm going to finally place an order for my AK. I want one that doesn't have B.S. problems that I have to line out and I want it to run right out of the box. I have been looking at the Krebs AK-103 but I saw buds has the ARI SAIGA SGL21-62 7.62X39 for $794. Is that a viable option or should I pass on it? I want to make sure I'm picking the right for the money the first time as I don't know when the wife will let me buy another.
ETA this would also be a SHTF weapon as well |

You should be fine with any Arsenal. Or you could also get a Saiga and just convert it yourself. Both the of the above mentioned rifles are built off siaga receivers, I'm more trying to consider if the 400 dollar price difference is worth it for a rifle that's finish wont wipe off the first time I clean it and maybe have a canted front sight base. as said above this would be a SHTF rifle |
| I have had my SGL 21 for over a year now, very happy with it. I use Hoppes #9 and CLP on it every time I shoot it and haven't had any of the finish problems I keep hearing about. Also, recommend you take a look at the TWS dogleg rail. With a red dot it really improved my shots and the peep sights are an improvement over the traditional sights IMO. |

I'm actually looking at upgrading from my SGL31-62 to Marc Krabs' AK-74. The quality of his rifles are second to none. |
