As above. The M70AB2T is built on a 1.0 receiver, and most are on the 1.6. Yugos, that is. The vast majority of AKs are on 1.0. True, some people will prefer the heavier receiver. That said, when was the last time you saw an AK receiver fail due to not being thick enough? As far as reliability goes, the receiver thickness is a non-issue.
It is, however, true that AKs with loose receiver covers are dangerous. They have bullets coming out of the muzzle at CRAZY speeds, just like the ones with tight receiver covers and no receiver covers. Other than that, a complete non-issue. The fact that your dealer claims this means he's either ignorant of how AKs function, or trying to rip you off by lying. The fact that he knows the difference between an AB2 and an AB2T pretty much shows that he isn't ignorant. |

Just keep it! You will regret it later. I agree with this guy! If your having trouble affording it, just put it on layaway! I regret selling every weapon I ever owned with the exception of a Century CETME. And unless this ak is a turd like that CETME was you will regret selling it too! |

So did he make you an offer ?? $400.00 Take it! That's twice what I would have expected them to offer. You must be joking. If you find these at $200, I'll buy all you can supply. Hang on to the Yugo, It'll only go up in value as you can't even buy them anymore for less that $650 from a vendor. |

Have you ever tried to trade in a rifle to a dealer? Gun shops offer very low prices if you try to trade in a rifle, Much like trading in a used car. Dealer will add his mark up and most likely try to sell for $600+. |

Yeah, dealers seem to take whatever a fair trade value is and subtract 20% from it and offer that. $400 is quite a bit more than I'd expect considering they'll probably sell it for $550 or so. |
