How many of you have or build your own. Any build parties near lower NY. What are the pros / cons. Do they come as a kit, with or without the receiver?

When you build one you will need a parts kit and then have to either buy a ready made receiver or make one out of a receiver flat. You will also need to get the nessisary 922 compliance parts.

I take it the parts kit has all foreign parts, hence the 922 compliance parts. I live in a ban state so my next question is, are the ready made receivers "new" manufacture. What type of special tools are needed to build with a pre made receiver?
