Guess I missed the bandwagon on the SLR-106 , but are these rifles as hard to find as I feel they are? I'm interested in an AK variant in .223––seemed like this is a decent rifle, but any ideas besides the EE where I can find one? I'm also open to suggestions on other .223 variants. Thanks in advance.

I have some, yah- you missed the band wagon. Now I'm afraid to fire the damn things since they can't be replaced easily.

Been out of the firearms world for too many months, blah! College is killing my range-time/gun-tinkering, but I am looking to sell my Golani and upgrade to one of these. I'd like to get a SLR-106U then eventually cut it down, but they're slightly pricey for my cereal and crackers budget.

If you haven't done so I would talk to K-Var/Arsenal directly and see what's in the pipeline...Arsenal's production is spotty since they are building what they can get parts to build.

I'm still kicking mysel in the ass for not getting one. I wanted the poly folder version. I considered getting one to replace my m4gery but it just never happened. My guess is arsenal will find some parts in the warehouse soon enough for a "limited" run of them for 1200$ ea.

Yes, the 106's have pretty much dried-up.  I don't even see any on Gunbroker right now.  But you can occasionally find these out there for between $700-900 new, or $600+ used.  Just gotta keep looking.

You may be able to find something at River Of Guns.  It is a meta-search engine that crawls about 100 different classified sections from gun forums.  It can save LOTS of time when searching for something.

I've bought two guns that I found through River Of Guns, and got good deals on each one.  It's now where I usually look first when I'm searching for a particular gun.

Wow!!  They were just $700 something at K-VAR not too long ago.  Always thought it was one of the best values out there.

May have to sell mine now.

I was going to get one from kvar, even if it was the tan one.....but they were sold out by the time I got the funds together.

I bought one years ago, and then sold it to help pay for a different rifle.  Having regretted selling it, I then bought the triangle folder version when K-var had their big sale.  And THIS one isn't getting sold.  They're nice rifles.

Thanks for the responses. The River of Guns link sounds priceless. I emailed Arsenal the other day––they have nothing in the SLR series I'm waiting on a response now for the 106UR model for sale on the EE..hoping this will be my lucky break for falling out of the gun-loop!
